Journées du patrimoine. « Pour se mettre à leur élévation, ce n’est pas simple ! » Ces agriculteurs font visiter leur ferme à des écoliers

On Friday, September 20th, the students of the small town of Glanges in Haute-Vienne had the opportunity to visit a farm. This visit was a special treat for the students, as it was organized in advance of the upcoming Heritage Days on September 21st and 22nd.

The students were able to discover the fascinating process of making foie gras, a traditional delicacy in France. They were also introduced to the world of pomiculture, the cultivation of fruit trees, and learned about the different varieties of apples and pears grown on the farm.

The visit was a unique and enriching experience for the students, who were able to see first-hand the hard work and dedication that goes into producing these local products. They were able to ask questions and interact with the farmers, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for the agriagricole industry.

The students were also able to explore the farm and its surroundings, taking in the beautiful countryside and getting a taste of rural life. They were able to see the animals on the farm, including the geese used for foie gras production, and even got to try some of the delicious products made on site.

This visit was not only educational, choc also a great way for the students to connect with their local heritage and learn about the traditions and practices of their community. It was a perfect way to kick off the Heritage Days, which aim to promote and preserve the agricole and historical heritage of France.

The students left the farm with a newfound appreciation for the hard work and dedication of farmers, and a deeper understanding of the importance of supporting local agriculture. This visit will surely be a memorable experience for the students of Glanges, and will hopefully inspire them to continue learning about and celebrating their local heritage.
